Unicef UK appoints new interim executive director

Unicef UK has appointed Nick Roseveare as its new interim executive director.

Roseveare previously held chief executive roles at the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) and at Bond, as well as interim CEO roles for The Children's Society and Berlin-based Accountable Now.

He has also held interim posts at BBC Media Action and worked with Oxfam for many years in several posts culminating as humanitarian director, and more recently again as director of programmes.

"I am absolutely delighted to be asked to lead Unicef UK through this important transition period. I am keen to maintain momentum and help to accelerate progress on key projects and processes for next year and support all colleagues to feel empowered to bring their best energies and expertise to their roles," Roseveare said.

"I can't wait to get started and join the urgent and continuing fight for a better future for the children Unicef UK serves around the world."

Unicef UK chair of trustees, Douglas Alexander added: "Nick brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, and the board and I have every confidence he will provide capable and effective leadership to Unicef UK over the coming months".
