Big Lottery Fund has announced three senior management appointments.
Gemma Bull joins in October as England portfolio development director. She is currently managing director of enterprise and innovation at Leonard Cheshire Disability. Bull is co-founder of EasyPeasy, a digital service that supports children's early development.
Joe Ferns joins as UK portfolio and knowledge director in September. He is currently executive director of policy, research and development at the Samaritans having held a number of posts at the charity and worked in the field of mental health for almost 20 years.
Lyn Cole has been appointed England grant making director with immediate effect. Cole has more than 17 years of experience of grant making at Big Lottery Fund and across its predecessor bodies. She was previously deputy director for England.
Big Lottery Fund chief executive Dawn Austwick said the appointments have been made at a crucial time for people and communities across the UK.
“They will each play an important role in helping us to maximise the effective use of National Lottery funding whilst building stronger bridges and partnerships with others and helping us to realise our vision of putting people in the lead.”
