Artswork
Artswork has announced the appointment of Katie Jackson, chief marketing officer
at Channel 4, as the charity’s new chair of trustees.
Jackson first joined Channel 4 in 2022 as managing director of their in-house agency 4creative.
In July 2024, she was appointed Channel 4’s chief marketing officer, taking
responsibility for the broadcaster’s brand strategy and its Marketing, Media, 4creative and
Communications teams.
Bowel Research UK
Bowel Research UK has appointed Kathryn Pretzel-Shiels as its chief executive officer, following her period as Interim CEO since October 2025.
She takes on the role on a permanent basis, having led the charity through a period of transition, providing continuity and stability as it continues to strengthen its focus on funding high-quality research and increasing its impact.
She has been closely involved with the charity since 2016, initially as a Trustee and later as Chair of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Committee, before becoming Interim CEO.
DKMS UK
Emma McCargow has taken up the role of co-managing director with blood cancer charity DKMS UK.
In her new role, she will be jointly responsible for running DKMS UK alongside her co-Managing Director Peter McCleave.
McCargow brings over two decades of experience in health research and life sciences, spanning pharmaceutical clinical trials, genomics and patient-facing programmes. Most recently she held a senior leadership role at a national genomics organisation, where she led complex, cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving diagnostic and research outcomes, including for patients from underrepresented communities.
FoodCycle
Social entrepreneur Mark Game has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at community dining charity FoodCycle.
Game, founder of affordable food clubs charity The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT), will join the FoodCycle team in mid-April, as current CEO Sophie Tebbetts is to step down after ten years with the organisation.
Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust
The Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) has appointed Keon West as head of reparations.
West is currently the head of research at Runnymede Trust and a visiting professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is the author of The Science of Racism.
He will design and lead a reparations programme that addresses the legacy of JRCT's endowment and strengthens our commitment to tackling the root causes of injustice. JRCT's endowment originates from the Rowntree Company, known to have profited from systems of colonial exploitation.
Marie Curie
End of life charity Marie Curie has welcomed new members to its board. Peter Corfield, Rachael Erskine (Scotland Trustee), Dr Mary Miller, Keith Hayward (Wales Trustee), Rachel Pearce, Rupert Nottidge, and Charles Penney.
Svitlo Education
Svitlo, a charity dedicated to supporting young learners affected by the war in Ukraine, has appointed Jonathan Harper as trustee of Svitlo's Ukrainian branch of the charity.
The Eric Liddell Community
The Eric Liddell Community, the Edinburgh-based dementia care charity, has announced the appointment of Megan Veronesi as its new chief executive officer. She succeeds John MacMillan, who has served as CEO since 2016.
He has worked with Svitlo Education for many years as partner in his role as a CEO of Future Foundations. He is an award-winning social entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience designing programmes that help young people develop leadership, wellbeing and real-world skills through action in their communities.
She brings more than 15 years of experience across the third sector, having held senior roles at organisations including Royal Trinity Hospice, Firstport, and Edinburgh World Heritage. Most recently working as a freelance interim CEO and consultant, Megan has provided strategic leadership, guidance, and practical support to a broad range of charities and social enterprises.
Youth Music
Youth Music has announced the appointment of Adam Jooliaas its new chief executive officer.
He joins Youth Music from Brighton-based charity AudioActive, where he has served as chief executive for nearly two decades, transforming the organisation into a nationally recognised leader in creating social change through music.
In 2024, his impact was nationally recognised with the National Lottery Gamechanger award - one of only seven cultural leaders to receive the honour.
