Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation
Brighton and Hove Albion’s Foundation has appointed Children’s Society executive director for social impact Joe Jenkins as its next chief executive.
He joins the Premier League club’s charitable arm in March after 10 years in senior roles at the Children’s Society, including stints as its director of supporter impact and income and executive director of engagement and income generation.
He is also a former director of engagement at Friends of the Earth and spent seven years on Refugee Action’s board, including two years as vice chair.
Kids for Kids
Kids for Kids has announced the appointment of Andrew Caudell as its new CEO.
He succeeds the Kids for Kids’ founder, Patricia Parker OBE, who will continue to serve as chairman of trustees and programme director for Darfur, Sudan.
He brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience from the commercial and charitable
sectors.
Mind
Mind has appointed Emma Ackerman to the newly-created role of executive director of Income Generation.
She has worked across the charity sector both in the UK and US. Most recently she served as chief of staff at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, working on a $300m capital campaign to build a new landmark children’s museum.
Before moving to the US, she was strategy director at The National Lottery Community Fund. Prior to this, she served as Head of Programmes at the Family and Childcare Trust, worked for central and local government, and began her career as a teacher in inner-city London schools.
The Royal Society for Arts (RSA)
The RSA has announced the appointment of former Universal Music UK executive Charlotte Thomson in a newly-created role of director of strategy and creative.
Most recently, she was as head of strategy at Universal Music UK, where she drove strategic change across communications, public policy, artist development, and international marketing.
Prior to this, she worked in the agency world as a strategist on large-scale behaviour change and public interest campaigns for organisations including the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Cancer Research UK, and the Gatsby Foundation.
She is also a Trustee of the Foundation for Future London.
