Elizabeth Vaughan-Williams
Cauda Equina Champions Charity has appointed Elizabeth Vaughan-Williams as Assistant Psychologist. She will support psychotherapy referrals, research into Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES), and develop professional training resources. With an MSc in Applied Clinical Psychology and experience in mental health wards and special educational needs, she brings expertise in advocacy and emotional wellbeing. Her role strengthens the charity’s commitment to holistic, person-centred care for those affected by CES.

Natalie Campbell & Stephen Vickers
The Ernest Cook Trust has appointed Natalie Campbell MBE and Stephen Vickers to its board of trustees. Campbell, Co-CEO of Belu Water, is a social entrepreneur, broadcaster, and Chancellor of the University of Westminster, with extensive experience in purpose-driven business. Vickers, Group CEO of Chatsworth House & The Devonshire Group, brings expertise in innovative land-based enterprises. Both will help shape the Trust’s mission to connect young people with nature.

Rachel Hill
Friends of the Elderly has appointed Rachel Hill as Chief Executive. Formerly CEO of The Whiteley Homes Trust, Rachel brings extensive health and social care experience, including senior roles in the NHS and voluntary sector. She previously served as Head of Nursing at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and held leadership positions at Woking and Sam Beare Hospices. Her appointment strengthens the charity’s leadership in delivering care and support for older people.

Steve Bates OBE, David Bruce and Dean Sowman
Breakthrough T1D UK has appointed three new board directors, effective October 2025. Steve Bates OBE, CEO of the UK Bioindustry Association and incoming Executive Chair of the Office of Life Sciences, played a key role in the UK’s COVID-19 vaccine response. David Bruce, Ring Fenced Bank Risk Officer at Santander UK, brings senior compliance leadership and personal insight as someone living with type 1 diabetes. Dean Sowman, Senior Partner at WA Communications, is a health policy expert advising leading life science companies.
