Barts Charity
Jay Longworth has been appointed as Director of Fundraising and Communications at Barts Charity from November 2025.
An accomplished fundraising and communications leader, Jay has experience across higher education, international development and the charitable sector in the UK and internationally.
She joins Barts Charity from Murray Edwards College at the University of Cambridge, where she led a major transformation of the development and alumnae relations programme. She has previously held senior roles at Imperial College London, the University of Melbourne and World Vision Australia.
Breast Cancer Now
Breast Cancer Now has announced Richard Meddings as its new chair of trustees.
He brings a wealth of experience from across health and financial sectors, most recently holding a three-year tenure as Chair of NHS England which included him overseeing the post-COVID recovery, reducing the elective backlog, developing long-term workforce and capital plans, investing in digital platforms, and supporting the devolution to integrated care boards.
Prior to this, roles have included being non-executive director on the Boards of 3i Group, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Legal & General, Jardine Lloyd Thompson and also TSB, where he was chair.
Commonwealth Sport Foundation
Commonwealth Sport has confirmed the appointment of Adrian Lismore as the new Chair of the Commonwealth Sport Foundation (CSF), the charitable arm of Commonwealth Sport. The appointment was approved by the Commonwealth Sport Executive Board at its meeting in October 2025.
He steps into his new role having served as a Trustee of the Foundation for the past 18 months. He is currently Vice President and Chair of the Finance, Legal, and Administration Commission at the Global Esports Federation (GEF).
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation
Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust has appointed its interim chief executive to the role on a permanent basis.
The Quaker led grant maker’s head of people and operations Nicola Purdy took on the role temporarily in December last year before being appointed to the position permanently this month.
Before joining the charity, she was chief operating officer at Quakers in Britain and also led projects for charities including Save the Children International.
ThreeSixty
Ayrshire-based mental wellbeing charity ThreeSixty (formerly Ayr Action for Mental Health) has welcomed two new trustees and an interim chair.
Ayr-born management consultant Dylan Harper has been appointed as Interim Chair of the Board, bringing deep roots in the local community as well as extensive experience across public, private and third-sector organisations.
Alongside Dylan, Kelvin Walker, an Ayr-born lawyer specialising in corporate, private and property practice and Richard Longmuir, an established local businessman, also join the board as newly appointed trustees.
