Charities are being invited to apply for a new funding initiative created by consumer group Which? to support projects that help tackle harms to consumers.
The fund has a particular focus on combating harm to groups through digital markets. This includes threats to women, people living with disabilities and health conditions, low income households and diverse ethnic groups.
They are at risk of being “more exposed to harm than other groups or experience different types of harm/
The Which? Fund is open to UK charities and universities that have exempt charitable status “to explore the harms these groups of consumers are facing, and to identify pragmatic solutions”, says the consumer group.
“We want these projects to drive real change for consumers - through policy, regulation or changes in practice,” it adds.

Which? say the launch of funding to involve charities and universities in its research is “a new way of working for us, so we are starting small, and looking to learn along the way”.
The deadline for applications 11:59pm on Wednesday 29 September. The next stage in the process for shortlisted applicants is in November.
