International development charity Build It, which gives building industry training to young people in Zambia, has named Tum Kazunga as its next chief executive.
He takes up the role at the Shrewsbury based charity in September taking over from he charity’s co-founder and CEO Andrew Jowett, who has been in post for 16 years.
Kazunga, who was born in Zambia, joins from Habitat for Humanity Great Britain, where he has been chief executive for the last five years.
“The opportunity to work with a charity that’s helping Zambian youth access the skills needed to help the country develop is exciting,” said Kazunga.
“I’ve been so impressed with the impact that Build It has achieved and look forward to working with my colleagues to build on that legacy. The opportunities to contribute to Zambia’s future are wide-ranging.”
