Hospital charities announce merger

Above and Beyond, the hospital charity for the Bristol area, has merged with nearby Weston Area Charitable Trust.

The move follows a merger between the hospital trusts for Bristol and Weston last year and creates one charity for all ten hospitals in the area.

Fresh branding for the new charity, called Bristol & West Hospitals Charity, has been designed by design agency Mr B & Friends to be “vibrant”, says the new organisation.

“This is a really exciting opportunity, and we wanted a new identity that radiates positivity and has a clear name to represent and reflect this partnership as we move forward,” said Paul Kearney, chief executive of Bristol and West Hospitals Charity.

“Mr B & Friends has really embraced our cause and this new look and we’re looking forward to being a bold, positive and energetic force across Bristol and Weston.”
