Alistair Lukies
Prostate Cancer UK has appointed Alastair Lukies CBE as Chair of its new Development Board. Lukies founded Monitise and helped grow it to a $2 billion global business. He currently holds senior roles at Endava, Pollinate International, and the Fintech Alliance. In this new role, he will help accelerate fundraising to drive breakthroughs in early diagnosis, treatment, and support, advancing the charity’s goal of ending prostate cancer deaths.

Andrew Gilmour, Lyn McDonald OBE, Michelle Reglinski, John Taylor & Chris Yiu
The Edinburgh International Festival has appointed five new trustees, enhancing the Board’s expertise across diplomacy, media, finance, and technology. The new members include Andrew Gilmour, former UN senior official; Lyn McDonald OBE, former Scotland Office Director; Michelle Reglinski of Comcast and Sky; John Taylor, financial leader and former IFoA President; and Chris Yiu of Meta. Their combined experience will support the Festival’s mission to deliver world-class performance and broaden access through innovation and strategic leadership.

D'Arcy Williams
Bite Back has appointed D’Arcy Williams, a global child health expert at UNICEF, as its new chief executive, starting October 2025. Williams brings nearly a decade of international experience in nutrition policy, advocacy, and youth engagement across 20+ countries. At UNICEF, he helped shape global obesity prevention strategies and co-led the #FixMyFood campaign with Bite Back. He currently supports bold food policy reforms in Tanzania, including sugary drink taxes and healthy school meals.

Jason Rose
OneKind has appointed Jason Rose as CEO, bringing over 30 years of senior experience in communications, public affairs, and campaigning across the charity and political sectors. His background includes leadership roles at Museums Galleries Scotland, RSPB Scotland, and the Scottish Greens. With a track record in advocacy and governance, including board roles with Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, Jason’s appointment signals a strategic step forward in advancing OneKind’s mission to protect animal welfare in Scotland.

Linda Ford
The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (CGIUKI) has appointed Linda Ford as its new CEO, starting in September 2025. Linda brings over 15 years of leadership experience, most recently as CEO of CILEX, where she led major reforms, expanded access to legal qualifications, and drove modernisation. With a strong track record in governance, professional development, and stakeholder engagement, she succeeds Sara Drake.

Mike Francies
Power2 has appointed Mike Francies as Chair. Formerly Managing Partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges (2000–2023), Mike brings extensive leadership and legal expertise. He is widely recognised in the legal sector, having been named among the UK’s most influential private equity lawyers and honoured with awards including The Lawyer’s “Partner of the Year” and Legal Business’s “Deal Lawyer of the Year.”

Val McKie, Ed Matthews, Ross Maloney, Emma Galloway and Andrew Reaney
Anti-poverty charity Trussell has appointed five new trustees, strengthening its Board with expertise in strategy, leadership, and lived experience of food insecurity. New trustees include Val McKie, Ed Matthews (Premier League), Ross Maloney (The Ramblers), Emma Galloway (Edinburgh Food Project), and Andrew Reaney (Wokingham Foodbank). The charity also announced a leadership shift, with Matthew van Duyvenbode becoming Co-Chief Executive alongside CEO Emma Revie.

Victoria Blakeman
Victoria Blakeman has joined Recycling Lives Charity to lead its offender rehabilitation, residential, and food redistribution programmes. With over two decades in criminal justice, including roles as a prison governor, consultant, and CEO of a food redistribution charity, she brings deep sector knowledge. Trustees praised her unique blend of experience. Blakeman succeeds Alasdair Jackson OBE.
