Cancer Research UK announces new trustees and committee members

Cancer Research UK has welcomed four new trustees and two non-trustee committee members.

They are:
- Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell FRS, previously Vice Chancellor of the University of Manchester
- Professor Dr. René Medema, Chief Scientific Officer of the ‘Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology’, and former head of the Netherlands Cancer Institute
- Kate Smaje, McKinsey Senior Partner, with an extensive background in Tech & Digital transformation
- Mark Evans, a seasoned consumer marketing expert, and longstanding CRUK volunteer fundraiser

The committee members are Philippa Kramer and Judy Parfitt who will be members of Council’s People & Remuneration Committee.

Their expertise and guidance will help Cancer Research UK continue to succeed as the world’s largest independent funder of cancer science”, said Cancer Research chair, Lord Simon Stevens.

“We’re also pleased that Judy and Philippa are joining our People and Remuneration Committee as non-Trustee committee members, bringing their extensive experience as seasoned HR professionals.”
