TV featured animal welfare charity promotes income chief to CEO

Woodgreen Pets Charity, which featured in the Channel 4 show The Dog House, has promoted its director of income and innovation Rohan Putter to be its next chief executive.

Putter has overseen income generation for three years at the charity, which offers homes to vulnerable pets and has held a number of senior fundraising roles at well-known charities.

His previous roles include director of fundraising and marketing at Blood Cancer UK, deputy director of fundraising at Barnardo’s and he spent four years as Marie Curie’s head of fundraising business strategy.

The Dog House show was filmed at the charity’s centre in Cambridgeshire and featured pets being matched with animal lovers.

“I’m incredibly excited to be starting as CEO, and grateful to our Trustees for their belief in my vision for the charity’s future,” said Putter.

“As we approach our centennial in 2024, Woodgreen has remarkable potential to provide a much-needed and unique impact for pets and pet owners in need. I look forward to continuing work with our dedicated staff and volunteers to bring our expertise and services to a much wider audience.”
