A charity that formed two years ago from the merger of two liver disease charities has unveiled its new name and branding.
British Liver Trust and Children’s Liver Disease Foundation merged two years ago as one charity focused on those of all ages with liver disease and liver cancer across the UK.
This month it has announced its new name Liver UK. It hopes the new name and branding will help the charity each more people, improve its lobbying and help grow its supporter and volunteer bases.
“By uniting under a single name, we can present one strong, consistent voice,” it said.
“This will strengthen our services, improve how we support people, and make our campaigning for better prevention, diagnosis and treatment more impactful.
“As Liver UK, we will amplify our voice—making it stronger, more influential and more effective.
“Operating as one charity will also reduce duplication, for example in our representation on government boards and committees, while allowing us to streamline administrative, compliance and regulatory processes.
“By combining expertise and benefiting from economies of scale through shared services and a single administration team, we can make better use of our resources and direct more of our efforts towards supporting people affected by liver disease. “
The charity’s new name follows the launch earlier this year of its strategy until 2032. This focuses on aims of supporting all those impacted by liver disease and liver cancer, ensuring patients have good access to care, helping early detection and working with healthcare professionals to improve outcomes.
