The Children’s Hospital Charity has rebranded and moved back to its former name Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
The decision has been taken as it wants “to be clear in everything our brand represents, which includes our name”, said its chief executive, John Armstrong.
This is the first time its Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity has been used since its 2009 rebrand which saw Children’s Hospital Charity adopted. The move has been taken ahead of its 50th anniversary next year.
“The charity has seen considerable growth in scope and impact over the last few years, and has big ambitions for the future, so it felt like the right time to review and refine the brand we have to ensure it best represents who we are, said Armstrong.
He added that the rebrand followed a consultation among hospital staff, patients and their families as well as the charity’s employees, donors, corporate partners and the public.
The rebrand includes a heart image that was designed by eight-year old patient Florence Bark.
“Throughout the consultation, it was clear that the charity’s care, compassion and impact is what is valued the most,” added Armstrong.
“We know it’s the hearts of our supporters and donors that enable the charity to make such a positive difference to the lives of children and young people – the same children and young people that we keep at the heart of everything we do. What better way to show that than with a heart in our new logo.”
