Charity giving trend grows 100% year-on-year

Donations in lieu of cards have doubled year-on-year for the past four years, research has shown.

Charity fundraising platform DontSendMeACard.com said that the online alternative to cards offers the facility to send digital greetings after making a donation of what you would have typically spent on printed cards and stamps.

"We're seeing a big increase in repeat donors. People like our brand, what we stand for, and want to adopt our technology and support their charities instead of cards. A loyal customer base is key to this level of scaling up," said founder, Alex Furness.

Over 1400 charities have registered from the UK, USA, Australia, Ireland, and Canada. Through the fundraising dashboard charities can upload their own e-card designs.

“When we first built the system and invited charities to upload their designs, we had no idea how creative or well-executed these would be. But our charities have outdone themselves ten-fold. Having such a great range to offer has massively contributed to growth.” Alex adds.

Charities can also monitor the performance of their card artwork and fully customise their pages on DontSendMeACard.
