Royal Mail to focus on ‘heart health’ as it launches search for next £2m charity partner

The Royal Mail is on hunt for a new charity partner to replace Action for Children for the next four years.

The children’s charity’s deal as the postal service’s charity partner ends this year. This had a focus on mental health issues and the new deal will see the Royal Mail turn its attention to heart health.

This issue has been selected “as poor heart health is one of the leading causes of absences” at the service.

The new charity partner’s deal with run until 2026.

The Royal Mail’s previous charity partnerships have also included The Stroke Association and Prostate Cancer UK. All its previous charity partnerships have raised more than £2m.

The partnership with the Royal Mail involves its staff encourage to raise money, volunteer and provide pro-bono support for the successful charity.

Staff will be involved in selecting the next charity partner from a shortlist of three.

Charities have until 15 July to apply for an application form and further details via community@royalmail.com. The closing date for applications is 4pm 12 August.
