One25 is an award-winning Bristol-based charity for women moving from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. It is highly respected for its work with some of the most marginalised women to help them to heal and thrive. We are looking for an exceptional person who will continue to guide the organisation with success. Our new CEO will combine the skills of an inspirational leader with commercial acumen, charity empathy and entrepreneurial ability.
Under the leadership of our current CEO, One25 has grown its annual income by more than 80% to better meet the needs of women facing multiple disadvantages in our city. Two major programmes launched in this time now complement One25’s original programme for women facing involvement in street sex work (made up of outreach, drop-in and casework services). Our dedicated staff team has grown to nearly 50, who work alongside over 150 volunteers and our amazing supporters to ensure that women get the help that they need.
The successful candidate will ensure that One25 is fit for purpose and will drive forward our strategy. You will ensure One25 is transparent in its work and remains one of the most respected and successful charities in Bristol. We are ambitious about our strategic plans and we want you to lead the delivery of this exciting future.
This exceptional opportunity requires excellent leadership experience combined with a strong experience and knowledge in delivering services to vulnerable people, as well as evidence of successful fundraising. The Chief Executive Officer will have the confidence to be innovative and entrepreneurial in approach, will be a self-starter by nature and will demonstrate well-developed management experience and determination.
Strong communication skills and relationship skills will be critical as the role will require the successful candidate to work with a wide range of stakeholders. This will include senior staff in local authorities and NHS, key donors, businesses, community leaders and volunteers. A passion for the transformative impact of the services that One25 delivers will be essential, as will a clear commitment to the clear and inclusive Christian ethos which underpins One25.
