Our mission is to achieve a better walking environment and inspire people to walk more.

We are looking for an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead on our medium to long term strategy and embrace our ethos and values. The successful candidate will be hands on, shaping and setting the direction, but also working with Trustees, senior management, and staff to deliver changes in practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a new leader to make their own impact on the future of Living Streets, building on our vision and values leading our teams to achieve their very best as we head towards our 100th anniversary.

The post holder will work closely with the Trustees and staff to deliver the organisation’s strategy and work with Trustees to ensure it is regularly reviewed in light of the external context within which the organisation operates.

You will lead the staff team to ensure high performance, standards, and motivation, ensuring appropriate resources and activities are in place to fulfil the organisation’s strategic objectives.

You will act as the public face of Living Streets and ensure a strong brand for the organisation, representing Living Streets to a wide range of audiences including politicians, policy and decision makers, media, partners, and other stakeholders.

You will take overall responsibility for effective organisational management and performance, and the financial health of the organisation, ensuring strong income generation plans are in place and lead work with high value partners and prospects.

If you think you have the expertise and passion to work collaboratively with a dedicated board and staff team and are keen to be part of the success and lead us into the future, we’d like to hear from you.
