Speaker Profile: Zakia Moulaoui
Zakia is the founder and CEO of Invisible Cities, an award-winning social enterprise that trains people who have experienced homelessness to become tour guide. Also Traveler of the year 2024 by National Geographic she loves talking about sustainability in travel.
After years as Director of International Partnerships at the Homeless World Cup, her health took a bad turn and she was diagnosed with bowel cancer which made her reconsider what she wanted to do. After getting better, she decided to set up her own not for profit organisation: Invisible Cities. Over the last 9 years Invisible Cities has worked through the UK, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors on their tours, including His Royal Highness Prince William when launching in Aberdeen last March.
