Speaker Profile: Othman Moqbel
Othman Moqbel is a leading British-Palestinian humanitarian and nonprofit executive with more than 25 years’ experience in global relief and development. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Action For Humanity, an international humanitarian organisation which delivers emergency relief, health services, education, shelter and livelihood support across numerous crisis-affected regions including Syria, Gaza, Yemen, Ukraine, Pakistan and beyond. Under his leadership the organisation has grown from a volunteer-led response to the Syrian conflict into one of the UK’s most impactful NGOs operating in more than a dozen countries.
Prior to Action For Humanity, Othman was CEO of Human Appeal, where he led major organisational growth, expanded global reach and strengthened programmes in development and emergency response. He has also serves as a trustee of BOND (the UK network for international development), and on the boards of ACEVO and Charity Futures.
Recognised for his leadership and commitment to humanitarian principles, Othman has been honoured with multiple awards including the ACEVO Fellowship Award for CEO of the Year, and has been invited to speak widely on humanitarian affairs, ethical leadership, and international development.
