Supporting Executive of the Year

This award recognises an executive team member below the principal, who excels in providing a vital supporting role to the leadership. Some examples of eligible roles include deputy CEO, head of policy, head of fundraising, or finance director. Please feel free to contact the editor if you are unsure whether a nominee you have in mind would be eligible.

The 1000 word submission for this category must include the following:
1. Outline of the role and profile of the individual within the organisation.
This should include how long they have been in post, and what their role entails.
2. Evidence of how this executive’s work has supported the CEO and/or board.
This should include specific examples of how their work have benefited the senior decision makers of the charity. Feedback attributed to the CEO/board is strongly encouraged.
3. Evidence/examples of how the executive’s work has improved the charity to the ultimate benefit of beneficiaries.
This can contain examples of clearly improved outcomes that are attributable in a direct way, but not necessarily entirely, to the executive’s work and actions.
4. In 500 words or less, why do you think this executive deserves to win this award?
Please detail the overall excellence in outputs and professional standards that the executive has displayed. In this section evidence may be quantitative, qualitative, or a mixture of both.
Please also include a large, high resolution photograph of your nominee.
CONDITIONS: To enter the executive must be an employee of a UK registered charity. However, other not-for-profit organisations may be allowed to enter at the discretion of the judges.
