Speaker Profile: Alice Garton

Alice Garton is Head of Climate at Europe’s leading environmental law charity, ClientEarth. The programme uses legal advocacy, advice and litigation to accelerate government policies and corporate investment strategies that are consistent with a net zero emissions future. In addition to her role at ClientEarth, Alice is also co-investigator for the Commonwealth Climate and Law Initiative at the University of Oxford, Special Advisor to the Climate Bonds Initiative, Positive Investment Cambridge, and on the Advisory Panel of UK based NGO Influence Map. Prior to joining ClientEarth, Alice worked for 15 years as a lawyer in large defence law firms acting for company directors in commercial litigation and insolvency disputes, and then as Senior Legal Counsel at Brookfield in London.
