UPDATED GUIDANCE ON MAKING PAYROLL GIVING A SUCCESS 26/06/03
 
The Giving Campaign has launched a free toolkit for small to medium sized groups, explaining how to make the most of a payroll giving scheme.

"It Pays to Give" is designed to provide companies with everything they need to implement and run a successful campaign, and showcases success stories.

The toolkit includes a research report entitled "The Business of Giving", showing that encouraging employees to support charity through their payroll delivers real benefits to business.

This report shows that 96% of companies surveyed thought payroll giving was something employers should offer and want to see more of their staff taking part in such schemes.

The main benefits reported are:
· Improves company image (61%)
· Enhances community involvement programmes (58%)
· Supports employee volunteering (40%)
· Boosts staff morale (34%)
· Improves staff recruitment and retention (27%)
