GOVERNMENT REVEALS HIGH USAGE OF WEBSITE |

The
website of the Scottish Executive has issued statistics claiming it is recording
more than 2.5m page views and almost 500,000 visits each month.
Executive Online is the first government website to be independently audited
by ABC Electronic, a not-for-profit, media industry-owned organisation that
provides third party auditing services.
The site receives an average of 15,935 visits requesting 82,430 pages of
information every day. Audited totals have all search engine robots, web
crawlers and other "non valid" traffic filtered out.
Minister for Finance and Public Services Andy Kerr says: "These statistics
are impressive. But, more importantly, being the first government website
to be independently audited by ABC Electronic will give us the detailed
information to allow us to ensure our website continues to meet the needs
of the thousands of people who use it."
