PR AND MARKETING TOP OF THE AGENDA IN NEW SERVICE 13/01/04

A new charity service aims to provide the sector with a cost-efficient method of carrying out vital public relations and marketing.

CB Communications, by Charity Business, has developed a fixed-rate price list to help make professional public relations services more accessible to charities of all sizes.

By being completely transparent about what a service entails, and its final cost, the company hopes to make PR a realistic option for charities with big ideas but limited budgets.

“Professional PR services don’t have to cost the earth, it’s just that most people think they do,” says Kate McCann of CB Communications. “The charity sector is highly competitive, and PR has become almost essential to fulfilling core activities.

"But there’s still the assumption that it is an expensive luxury, and so charities struggle on trying to do it all in-house. By offering a range of set price packages, we’re hoping to demystify PR and marketing, and enable charities to buy into professional services at a level which meets both their needs and budgets.”

CB Communications’ price list starts at £175 for a one-off press release, with other packages including press campaigns from £325, newsletters from £600, direct mailers from £350, website creation from £1,000, and logo and strapline development from £350.

For details of the fixed price list visit www.charitybusiness.com, or call 01793 554200.
