POOLED RESOURCES TO SPREAD TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE 18/02/03
 
Six of the country’s leading charities have formed a consortium to spread the cost of e-learning for their staff.

Leonard Cheshire, Scope, VSO, WWF, The Prince’s Trust and the Scout Association have formed a common e-learning community, with users in the charities able to communicate with each other and quarterly meetings between the groups to share best practice.

IT skills e-learning company Jenison, in partnership with KnowledgePool and Kognita is behind the move. “This consortium enables charities to take advantage of the consistency and flexiblity of e-learning and effectively split the cost six ways,” explains Martin Baker, Jenison’s business development director.

Jenison and its partners are now looking for other chariites to form a second consortium. Information is available from www.jenison.co.uk
