Six
of the country’s leading charities have formed a consortium to spread the
cost of e-learning for their staff.
Leonard Cheshire, Scope, VSO, WWF, The Prince’s Trust and the Scout Association
have formed a common e-learning community, with users in the charities able
to communicate with each other and quarterly meetings between the groups
to share best practice.
IT skills e-learning company Jenison, in partnership with KnowledgePool
and Kognita is behind the move. “This consortium enables charities to take
advantage of the consistency and flexiblity of e-learning and effectively
split the cost six ways,” explains Martin Baker, Jenison’s business development
director.
Jenison and its partners are now looking for other chariites to form a second
consortium. Information is available from www.jenison.co.uk
