IRISH HOST EVENT TO TACKLE FUTURE OF PUBLIC SECTOR RELATIONSHIP 12/01/04

Registration is open for a national conference which aims to analyse how the relationship between the state and the voluntary sector operates in Ireland.

The event, which is taking place as part of the implementation process of the Irish government's White Paper, Supporting Voluntary Activity, will give delegates the chance to comment on how this relationship should develop.

The one-day conference will be held on January 22 in Dublin, and the agenda includes a keynote address by Minister of State, Noel Ahern TD.

It will also feature presentations by both the voluntary and statutory sector members of the Implementation and Advisory Group, which is implementing the White Paper, and a presentation on independently-commissioned research into the White Paper.

The conference will also provide an opportunity for participants to contribute to the future direction of the relationship between the voluntary and statutory sectors via small workshops, Q&A sessions and an open panel discussion.

To register for this event, please email: register.direction@direction.jwt.ie, and the closing date for registrations is January 15. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
