A
major new fundraising initiative is celebrating its first anniversary by
expanding its team to deal with the number of charities backing the scheme.
Just 12 months after the launch of Whitewater’s in memoriam fundraising
service, "Our Lasting Tribute", 30 charities have joined and several
are already seeing significant income growth as a result of new in memoriam
programmes.
Our Lasting Tribute’s membership ranges from some of the UK’s largest charities,
such as Cancer Research UK and RSPB to specialist organisations like The
Jennifer Trust for SMA and Friends of the Elderly.
Recent high profile tribute funds set up include one by Dame Judi Dench
in memory of her late husband, Michael Williams, on behalf of the British
Lung Foundation.
The group has now decided to make two new appointments to its "Our
Lasting Tribute" team in response to the growing popularity of the
service.
Former Stonewall development director Rupert Tebb has been recruited to
manage member services, while Matthew Hunt has joined the team as head of
UK marketing and product development.
Managing director John Grain says: “The last year has been tremendously
exciting. With our expanded five person team, I feel confident that we can
make the service we provide even more successful for our clients.”
