EVENT TO TACKLE LATEST IDEAS ON SCOTTISH REFORMS 13/01/04

A major seminar on charity law reform, featuring an expert panel of speakers, is to be held at The Gathering event in Glasgow on February 23.

Hosted by Momentum, the panel will comprise Margaret Curran, Minister for Communities; Martin Sime, chief executive of SCVO; Jean McFadden, who chaired the Scottish Charity Law Review Commission; and Maureen Harrison, chair of the Institute of Fundraising's Public Affairs Committee.

The Scottish Executive’s new draft bill on charity reform is due for consultation in Spring 2004, so this seminar aims to help inform latest thinking on what charities would like to see achieved as a result of the new legislation.

Places are limited to 90, so an early response is advised. Cost is £10 per delegate.
