CALL FOR ENTRIES FROM CHARITIES FOR MAJOR MANAGEMENT AWARDS 11/02/04

The annual Business Continuity Awards, run by the sister publication of Charity Times, has introduced a new voluntary sector category for this year's event.

The award for Voluntary Sector Continuity Manager Of The Year, sponsored by Charity Logistics, will be awarded to the individual judged to have demonstrated exceptional achievement in the role of continuity manager in a voluntary sector environment.

The individual should be fully employed in continuity management, and will be judged on both their experience and understanding of continuity issues, and their professional influence.

Among the qualities which will score highly are innovation within continuity management, commitment to continuity practices, overcoming organisational constraints and demonstratable strategic thinking.

Deborah Ritchie, editor of CIR magazine (which hosts the awards), says: "We want to reward the great strides made by the voluntary sector in the field of continuity management. More and more charities are realising the importance of this discipline every day."

This year's Awards Ceremony and Dinner will take place at Grosvenor House in London's Park Lane on Thursday 20 May 2004.

The deadline for entries is Friday 12 March 2004. For more information, or to enter, please visit www.businesscontinuityawards.com
