The toolkit provides practical information on how an organisation
can effectively work with the media to get its message across, from crisis
management to giving a proper interview. It also gives tips on setting
a media strategy and provides feedback from journalists on their expectations.
Futurebuilders commissioned the Media Trust to produce
the toolkit for organisations that receive Futurebuilders finance, but
has decided to give away 50 free copies.
Futurebuilders chief executive Richard Gutch said: “We
produced the toolkit primarily for our investees – but we think
it’s so useful that others should have the chance to benefit from
it too.”
Organisations with an annual turnover of less that £100,000
or without a media team can win a copy by sending an email to cdoffer@futurebuilders-england.org.uk
with their postal address and an answer to the following question: Which
TV or radio programme would you most like to be interviewed by to promote
what you do and why? Answers must be no more than two sentences long
and the first 50 replies will be
sent the CD.
