A new Code of Fundraising Practice for workplace giving has been launched
today by the Institute of Fundraising (IoF).
Committed Giving
in the Workplace contains information and guidelines as to the best
practice and law for all forms of committed giving within the workplace
such as payroll giving, direct debits and “round-up” schemes.
Lindsey Boswell, chief
executive of the IoF, said: “With the impending advent of self-regulation,
the Codes of Fundraising Practice will come under increasing scrutiny
and the further development of Codes of Fundraising Practice is crucial.”
The new code replaces
the Code of Fundraising Practice, Payroll Giving, and joins a set of Codes,
which cover 22 different areas. The introduction of more codes is currently
in progress – for more information visit www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk
