A £15 million funding pot has been opened by the Big Lottery Fund for UK-based organisations working in overseas development.

Grants of between £1 million and £5 million will be awarded by BIG for development work, focusing in particular on improving mother and child health, preventing HIV/AIDS and education.

Organisations applying to the Big Lottery Fund international strategic programme should aim to tackle the causes of poverty and deprivation.
