The consultation may be accessed on the Commission’s website
www.charity commission.gov.uk under “Promoting Effective Performance/Consultation Documents”. The draft guidance is based on previous consultations. Andrew Hind, the Commission’s chief executive, said: “I’d encourage as many charities as possible to contribute to this consultation, ensuring the experience of the sector is fully included in our final guidance.”

The revised guidance will be published in February 2007, along with the results of a survey carried out by the Commission into the degree to which public service delivery is impacting the charitable sector.
