Voluntary sector groups involved
in learning or training can now take advantage of a new online directory.
Providing comprehensive details
on the key national, regional, sub-regional and local VCS infrastructure
bodies across England, it aims to help organisations find suitable partners
to work with.
Cheryl Turner from
the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, says: “Finding
the right partner in the third sector has never been more important for
organisations involved in learning or training or interested in this area
of work. Now that funding for community-based learning is increasingly
hard to find, working collaboratively with the right people becomes ever
more important as a sustainable way forward. VCS Learning Links offers
a solution to the question of who you should approach first."
VCS Learning Links
has been developed by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education,
the National Association of Councils for Voluntary Service and the national
Workforce Hub, along with support from the Department for Education and
Skills. To access, visit www.vcslearninglinks.org.uk
