The charity sector and government have been asked to celebrate Compact Week by promoting the ways in which they work together.

The revamped event, which has been given a new logo and the strapline Working together – better together, will run from 1-7 November and aims to raise awareness of the benefits of the Compact.

Ahead of the event, the NCVO’s Compact Working Group, which runs it, is encouraging voluntary groups, public bodies and government to look at the ways in which they work together and to teach their staff, trustees and volunteers of the mutual advantages.

The week will focus on the positive outcomes from improved relationships as a result of the Compact.

In conjunction with the week, a new website featuring regional information, a media section and examples of good practice for partnership working will be launched in November.
