Charities and voluntary
organisations are being invited to express their thoughts on youth volunteering
at a series of events to be held across England.
Organised by the Russell Commission as part of its consultation process,
the events will enable those who work with volunteers to share their views
and opinions on issues such as how to make volunteering more attractive
to 16-25 year olds and how to make it more accessible for those from disadvantaged
backgrounds. All contributions will help form a new national framework
that will aim to encourage more young people to take part in civic service
activities.
The events, which run from 10am until 3pm, are being held in the following
locations:
- Tuesday 26 October
- London - Upton Park, West Ham FC
