A new website offering
information and advice on funding and financing options for voluntary
and community organisations has been launched by the NCVO’s Sustainable
Funding Project (SFP).
The site offers information
on a number of different income sources from funding and loan finance
to earning income by selling goods and services or delivering public services
under contract. The site also provides advice on strategic planning, and
features publications, newsletters and case studies.
The SFP exists to
encourage and enable organisations to explore a full range of funding
options to develop a sustainable funding mix. Commenting on the new site,
the SFP’s Sarah Flood, said: “Too often ‘sustainable
funding’ is seen as a question of simply getting better at fundraising
or locating one ever-lasting source of income. Our new site offers ideas,
information and sources of practical support for organisations wanting
to broaden their income base and explore sustainable funding.”
