Run by the Charities
Aid Foundation (CAF) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
and Wales (ICAEW), the awards are divided into four income categories,
and will recognised those charities with the most effective and transparent
online accounts.
The organisations
that have made the short list are:
Category A
– income above £2 million
World Vision UK, Save the Children and Weston Spirit
Category B
– income between £500,000 and £2 million
The Young Minds Trust and the Prince’s Trust in Scotland
Category C
– income between £100,000 and £500,000
Community Network and St Anne’s, Soho
Category D
– income below £100,000
African Children’s Education Trust and Second 1st Hurst Scout Group
Winners will be announced
at a ceremony on December 8 in London, and each will receive £2,000,
a “seal” for their website and a pass to attend a CAF conference
of their choice. Runners up will receive a certificate of excellence.
