Robb, director general of the Office of the Third Sector,
has appointed four new deputy directors to support him in
his role.
The deputies will each lead a new team, coming into effect
on 4 June, and will play a major role in implementing government
policy for the third sector.
Leading the participation team will be Sarah Benihoff,
current chief executive of the Community Development Foundation.
Pat Samuel, current head of the Charity and Third Sector
Finance Unit in the Treasury will head up the public sector
partnership team. The social enterprise and finance team
will be lead by Hilary Norman, the current deputy director
of the social enterprise team at the OTS, and Helen Stephenson,
the Big Lottery Fund’s head of strategic policy and
partnerships will take control of the third sector support
team.
Commenting on the four appointments, Robb said: “I
am tremendously excited by the strength of our new team
and the powerful range of skills and experience they bring
to our work to enable a thriving third sector.”
Robb said the deputy directors represented the cornerstones
of the structure within the office. “Their expertise
will prove invaluable in forging a stronger leadership role
for the OTS across government and in creating better links
between the sector and the state,” he added.
