A free guide to help trustees implement socially responsible investment strategies has been published.

Investing Responsibly: A Practical Guide for Charity Trustees was launched jointly by EIRIS (Ethical Investment Research Services), NCVO and UKSIF (UK Social Investment Forum).

As well as practical advice, the guide includes case studies of charities that have put in place SRI policies.

Stuart Etherington, NCVO Chief Executive said, the toolkit should prove indispensable to charities developing a SRI strategy. “Through investing responsibly trustees can ensure that on every level their organisations are contributing to the building of a fairer society,” he added
