Organisations
wishing to collaborate can now source advice and information
online via the Collaborative Working Unit’s (CWU)
new website www.ncvo-vol.org.uk/collaborate
launched today.
The website provides
a wide range of information, including what collaborative working involves,
its benefits and risks as well as a check list suggesting questions for
organisations considering collaboration.
Kate Aldous, manager
of the CWU, which is based at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations
(NCVO), says: Collaborative working can make the sector more efficient
and effective and improve services for beneficiaries. Organisations have
a responsibility to consider if working with others would benefit their
users. By providing advice and information on the options available the
CWU enables them to make informed decisions about whether and how to do
so.”
