Fundraising Standards Board forced to change logo 19/06/07

The Fundraising Standards Board - previously the FSB - has had to change its logo and acronym to FRSB following complaints from the Federation of Small Businesses.

"During the lengthy process of registering our logo we were contacted by the Federation of Small Businesses which also uses the acronym FSB,” said FRSB chief executive Jon Scourse. “Whilst their acronym is used widely within the business community, we did not envisage any issue with the Board working as a regulator in the charity sector.”

Scourse said that the logo has been minimally affected by the change and was unlikely to affect public awareness of the scheme.

Relevant professional organisations and existing members have been sent the revised logo, though members can continue to use existing printed materials until out of stock, and will need to use the new logo from 1 November 2007. The Board’s website has also changed to www.frsb.org.uk
