The chief executive of the Commission for the Compact has
resigned less than six months after taking up the role.
Angela Sibson will leave the organisation at the end of
July, just weeks after completing its first business plan
with Compact Commissioner John Stoker.
Richard Cordon, who helped to guide the Charities Act 2006
through Parliament, is set to take over as interim chief
executive in September and will remain in the role until
a new chief executive is found. A replacement is expected
to be recruited over the summer.
Sibson said: “I am very pleased to have helped establish
an organisation that I am sure will create an enduring improvement
in partnership between the public and third sectors and
wish John and the team the very best in building on the
foundation we have established together.”
Stoker said he was “sorry she had decided to move
on” but said she had brought insight and experience
to establishing the Commission.
