Shortlist announced for Olympic trust manager 02/06/06
 
Lottery distributors and government have announced the shortlist of applications to manage a £35 million trust to support cultural and sporting initiatives associated with the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Funded by the Millennium Commission, the Department for Culture Media and Sport, the Big Lottery Fund and Arts Council England, the trust will allocate funds to a programme of projects at a local, regional and national level which aim to “leave a lasting positive legacy of the Games for future generations”. The call for applications was made in April this year, with 11 organisations and consortia responding.

The trust’s funders said a preferred candidate would be announced as soon as possible, with the aim of establishing the trust in the Autumn this year.
