A new website has been launched to provide the sector with ICT information.

Providing information, advice and support, the ICT Consortium website aims to help voluntary and community groups learn more about information communication technology (ICT).

The ICT Consortium has been formed by a group of organisations from the sector and is to be funded for a six-month period by the Active Community Directorate. As well as ICT advice and support, the website will also provide information on the activities undertaken by the ICT and how they will benefit the sector.

One of the groups taking part is the NCVO. Its ICT development officer, Nicky Thompson says: “This is an exciting time to build on the excellent work that the sector is undertaking to enable voluntary and community organisations to achieve their missions more effectively and efficiently using ICT.”
