The CFDG is to extend
its service across the country by opening a new regional branch in the West
Midlands.
Close to Birmingham
City Centre, it is supported by a partnership with accountancy firm Baker
Tilly, and will offer information, training and regular meetings on key
issues in charity management as well as networking opportunities.
Shirley Scott, chief
executive of CFDG says: “We are really enthusiastic about having
a new presence in the West Midlands. Not only is the business community
in the region thriving but it is also a key location for charities. Our
successful groups in the South West & Wales and the North demonstrate
how much charities can gain from learning together and from each other.”
The official opening
takes place on 22 July and provides CFDG with the opportunity to present
a seminar looking at both the Charities Bill and the revised SORP. The
seminar will take place at the Copthorne Hotel in Birmingham at 2.30pm.
