The charity, which has yet to be named, will be formally
launched later this year and will involve young people, business and the
voluntary and community sector working together to encourage more 16-24
year-olds to volunteer.
Ryall, who is currently responsible for managing the delivery
of all the Prince’s Trusts activities to disadvantaged young people,
will be working with both a main trustee board and a youth advisory board,
made up of 20 young people who will ensure their age groups' views are
properly represented.
She said: “I am honoured to be given such a unique
opportunity. This new organisation has the potential to make a very real
difference to young people’s volunteering. I am confident that with
the blend of public, private, voluntary and community sectors who are
already committed, that potential will be achieved. I’m particularly
looking forward to the active involvement of young people.”
