A new online directory of social firms has been launched by
Social Firms UK, providing details of locations, goods and
services offered, contact details and testimonials on social
firms operating across the UK.
Social firms are classified as businesses set up in order
to create paid employment for disadvantaged people, with
at least 25% of employees having a ‘severe disadvantage’.
The directory of these firms is aimed at any potential customers
from the general public to public authorities looking to
procure goods and services in an ethical way.
