Commission and DSC to run public service delivery conference 06/02/06

The Charity Commission, in partnership with the Directory of Social Change, will be running a one day conference to address the role of charities in public service delivery.

Chaired by the Commission’s chair, Geraldine Peacock, the conference will focus on the reasons for engaging in public service delivery, the relationship between public service delivery and independence and the role of grant giving charities. There will also be a forum for charities to discuss technical and legal issues.

Places are limited to 150 and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

The conference is scheduled for 21 March. Visit www.charity-commission.gov.uk/news/pubservice.asp for details and booking forms.
